Simple Solution To Nigeria Present Situation.
Nigeria is a nation in a nation. Two different words were put together to form the word Nigeria of today. They are : (a) Niger (b) Area. Therefore, Niger + Area = Nigeria. The above fusion was proposed by Flora Shaw who later named Nigeria. Situation on the other hand means a state of affairs or position. We may at this point deduce that the Nigeria situation simply means how Nigeria is being positioned, her status or affairs. *Is Nigeria situation worth crying for?*, this amongst other questions would be raised under this setting, while varied opinions from Nigerians irrespective of our sociopolitical, status and religious background would be accommodated. I stopped posting or writing on national issues not because I am scared of being incarcerated or apprehended by anybody, agencies or government. I have to swallow up saliva for a while because of my tiredness for the so called leaders of tomorrow ( Nigerian Youths) who aren't Sufficiently Developed Human Beings *(SDHBs).* But do not forget, everyone needs to be sufficiently developed, both the old and the young. I am not saying that the youths are the only ones expected to be sufficiently developed in our society, just that we are the figures the society is looking forward to seeing occupying our fathers seat in the near future. In other words, the acronym *SDHBs* is not limited to the youths only, it is just that my point of view centers on the youths. I had once written an article on a topic, *"Best Answer to Nigeria's Crown Problems and The Only Solution"*. This article may be seen as the second phase of the overhead topic. But before I proceed, let me kindly unveil the meaning/features of the acronym *SDHBs* for easy understanding of what I am about to divulge. Firstly, here is the succinct of the article: *•BEST ANSWER TO NIGERIA'S CROWN PROBLEMS & THE ONLY SOLUTION* Our major pitfall in this contemporary Nigeria if anyone should ask me, my best answer ever goes thus; "there are *LITTLE* Sufficiently Developed Human Beings *(SDHBs)* who are capable of discharging effective functions in Nigeria". Now, let's look at some of the features of the SDHBs. *CHARACTERISTICS OF SDHBs :* Sufficiently Developed Human Beings are societal problem - solvers, those beings who are innovative, easily creative, people who appreciate and can build on the efforts of others rather than destroying it, those who are not interested in destroying the potentials, talents, or efforts made by fellow humans, rational thinkers, hatred free, contented, builders both in attitudes/behavior and skills, distributor of knowledge, those who are not selfish, not self centered, ones who cherish legacy, fraudulent free, embezzlement free, crime free, ones who show affection, not violent, not diabolic, wicked, nor cruel, ones whose conscience haven't die, ready to influence one's life positively, positive intellectual beings, ones who can meaningfully contribute to the advancement or development of a society just to mention but a few. *RECOMMENDATION:* The one and only remedy to Nigeria's numerous imbroglios/complicated menace is that; we really need sufficiently developed human beings that can effectively function in this modern life (Nigeria). Cast not only the blame on the leaders. My question is; *are you a sufficiently developed human being?* *THE YOUTHS IN THIS SENSE* *How Sufficiently Developed Are We?* Youths are specifically the young people both male and female in our society, who share common orientations, aspirations and goals. We *(the youths)* in this sense are the ones mostly involved in today's cruel and sadistic act --- abduction, smuggling, child trafficking, trafficking in drugs, spiritual cannibalism, banditry, money rituals and other forms of rituals, fraternity, forcible rape (rape for gratification), fraudulent act by internet con artists. Other evil youths activities in our society - having multiple partners for demonic purposes, informants to rubbers, some youths have made themselves available as political thugs to some political juggernauts during elections in Nigeria et al. The ladies are not left behind in these dirty scenes, as what a man can do, a woman can do more better, obtaining power via massacre accompanied by perpetual consultation of the dark world, much of these which I termed rampant mostly amidst our today's young stars (youths) who are so curious to be affluents. Imagine these are the set of youths clamouring for change and who will grow to become leaders. If I may ask, when would Nigeria's complicated situations be curbed? *Can these type of youths effectively run the affairs of this nation, Nigeria?*. In another phase, Nigerian youths criticize leaders for their nonchalant and lackadaisical attitude towards making our father's land a suitable home for all. Instead of us to painstakingly find or think of a way to proffer solution to the pharaonic situations confronting our nation, Nigeria, we rather choose to follow the trend and perfectly insert our feet in their shoes, while we censure the leaders everyday. More so, all other getting rich quicker syndromes noticeable amidst the 21st century's youths are order of the day. What ought to be our priority as Nigerian youths is our liberty. Think of the way forward to curb this economy down turn which has ravaged everywhere in our nation, rather than blaming it on the leaders every second. What effort(s) you and I have made towards redeeming our falling nation?. let's think *Suggestion:* we may imbibe revolt to put our economy in order, but who is ready to do that?. The same strategy was adopted by some countries of the world who were once like us but now enjoying national privileges. E.g 1789 revolution in France strictly pushed forward by the then social revolutionists (the youths in particular ) helped to check France economy. Same thing occurred in the then United States of America, revolution came up in the year 1775. The 21st Century Tunisia revolution caused by government corruption, social inequalities, unemployment, political repression -- of which are some of the major features of Nigeria's problems, came up on 18 Dec 2010 – 14 Jan 2011 just to mention but a few. We as mediocre individual youths, without fame, what type of character/attitude do we showcase towards making our society a better place for all and sundry?. One of our biggest problems is that we do not cherish *legacy*. No good records kept for us, we, the descendants or successors of our ascendants/progenitors or ancestors, neither do we reserve one for our own children too. We do things to benefit us and our immediate families alone, but forget the general public. The origin of these problems emanated from our different homes and subsequently escalated to the bigger society. Though, we are not empowered or employed, but the phenomena here are that the overhead atrocities and vices committed by huge percentage of our youths, who do use either of these means to getting money or believe such means are the only solutions to live a desirable lives everyone wants do not remedied the situation rather but worsen it. *What can we do?* From now forth, Let us all stop saying there is/are no solution(s) to Nigeria's problems. We are the solution. What you and I have to do is to adopt the features of sufficiently developed beings. The remedy to Nigeria's complicated situations remains: *"Sufficiently Developed Human Beings".* Which I believe some of its features were succinctly listed above, made clear and apparently known to everyone reading this write up. Together we can move the nation to her height. *NB:* This piece might lack some ingredients which could be upgraded anytime. Thanks for ur painstaking reading. *~A. T. Ajayi 2017b*
