Job Purpose
Opportunities exist in Ilesa Plant for the position of Operator, Packaging, reporting to the Shift Team Leader. The incumbent will Safely operate and maintain defined Packaging equipment and related processes in order to achieve optimal effectiveness
Duties and responsibilities
Amongst other duties, the Operator will;
oInterpret and implement production plan for shift
oOperate manual and automatic machines on line as per standards
oMonitor production processes on shift and correct any negative trends
oEnsure process quality and productivity
oComplete associated tracking and monitoring:
oComplete operator workstation administration and take action as required.
oComplete Team room administration as required
oEnsure machine is in working order
oApply 5S standards and practices in the workplace
oWork and communicate effectively in teams
oOperate and control the process according to SOP’s
oConduct autonomous maintenance
oOperate the equipment according to the work instructions and adhering to safe working practices at all times.
o Manage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends
oUse QFR's (As per triggers)
oComplete 5 WHY's (As per triggers) with relevant team members
oContribute towards Abnormality reports as required
oManage quality at source
oImprove personal competence and flexibility
oMaintain a safe and healthy work environment
oMeasure performance attributes
oRecord performance attributes
oMonitor and evaluate trends
oAssure quality of inputs
oInitiate corrective action
Requirements
Education
OND/BSc/HND or equivalent in Engineering
Experience
Experience in a packaging process environment.
Minimum 2 years in FMCG environment
Experience in running a high speed packaging line
