25-year-old Chidinma Leilani Aaron wins Miss Nigeria 2018


25-year-old Chidinma Leilani Aaron has emerged as the winner of the 2018 Miss Nigeria Beauty Pageant. The pageant which was held on Sunday, November 25, took place at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. 

The young lady is a native of Anambra state and she represented the southeast zone. She is a graduate of business administration from Leeds City University in Ibadan, Oyo state. 

Chidinma had emerged winner by surpassing 17 other beautiful contestants. She was awarded the cash prize of N3 million, a luxury apartment and a car. 




The new Miss Nigeria succeeded Mildred Ehiguese who won the 2017 Miss Nigeria contest. Chisom Dunu and Ameh Munirah emerged as the first and second runner up in the contest. 

An event as flamboyant as this, attracts the creme de la creme of the society. Socialites such a 2018 Big Brother contestant, Tobi Bakre, musicians Dede Mabiaku, Johnny Drille, and comedian Bovi, were among guests at the event.


Fidelis Anosike, the organiser and chairman of Folio Media Group, noted that the Miss Nigeria pageant had improved over the years. 

He said: “Yearly, the Miss Nigeria theme has remained empowering women beyond beauty as organisers seek to consider applicants beyond their physical look alone but their intellect which matters a lot." 

The event was hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and Kaylah Oniwo. They were judged by Rita Dominic, Tatiana Moussalli, Konye Nwabogor, Fade Ogunro, Uredi Grace, Jasmine Tukur, David Wej, Lessi Peter Vigboro, and Osepiribon Ben-Willie among others. 



Contestants showcased their Nigerian traditional attire and evening wear as designed by Maryam Elisha, CEO, Rikaoto by Me. .
