El-Rufai blasts Peter Obi, calling him a tribal bigot
El-Rufai said Obi was widely quoted on national TV saying the DSS was right to detain him in Anambra in 2014.
The governor made the statement while reacting to a tweet accusing Obi of deporting northerners from Anambra during his tenure as governors
The Kaduna state governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has accused the former governor of Anambra state and the running mate of Atiku Abubakar on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi, of being a tribal bigot.
El-Rufai, made the accusation in a tweet while reacting to another tweet from a group, Coalition of Buhari-Osinbajo Movement, quoting an article from Leadership accusing Obi of deporting northerners from Anambra state during his tenure as governor.
Governor El-Rufai said Obi was widely quoted on national TV saying the Department of State Service was right to detain him for visiting Anambra in 2014.
He tweeted: "Peter Obi is a tribal bigot. He was widely quoted on national television that the SSS was right to detain me for 48 hours in an hotel in 2014 on the grounds that ”El-Rufai has no business being in Anambra State as it is not Katsina State”! I sued the SSS and awarded N4m damages."
