Graduate dies of epilepsy after eyewitnesses resorted to prayers instead of medical attention
A young graduate identified as Ezeako Ifeanyi Emmanuel recently died after he collapsed during an epilepsy attack.
According to a Facebook user, eyewitness at the scene resorted to prayers instead of getting medical aid.
He was later rushed to tow different hospitals where he was confirmed dead on arrival by the doctors
The Nigerian society is one that is deeply rooted in religion. Most times, people often seek spiritual help for issues that sometimes have glaring solutions. Such is the case of an unfortunate young man identified as Ezeako Ifeanyi Emmanuel, who recently passed after a bout of epilepsy.
According to a Facebook user identified as Udeafor Claudia, the young man who was believed to a epileptic, had experienced an attack and fell down, hitting his neck on a stone. Rather than sort medical attention, the people who witnessed the incident resorted to prayers.
Udeafor who arrived on the scene immediately went looking for help, alongside with a few other people. They eventually found a vehicle that took them to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead. Still hoping for a different result, Udeafor took him to another hospital, where he was also confirmed dead on arrival.
Udeafor shared photos of the young man who was later discovered to be a graduate preparing for his NYSC in Ebonyi state.
She went on to advised people to be smart about delicate issues like this one as it may not always be a spiritual attack. According to Udeafor, he died out of carelessness on the part on the eyewitness who were praying for him.
