Island people your money is different - Man says after buying pencil for N1500 in Ikoyi

There has always been a debate between Nigerians leaving in Lagos mainland and those leaving in Lagos island.

Lagosians leaving on the mainland argue that despite the fact that they don't have the best hangout spots things are cheaper on the mainland, while island folks argue about easy going lifestyle they leave on the island.

It has been argued that island folks enjoy better amenities such as power supply, fun hangout spots and good roads, than those who leave on the mainland. However, mainland people top the argument by saying that the island gets flooded during rainy seasons.

A Nigerian man might have confirmed the argument about things being more expensive on the island after he shared the story of how he bought a pencil for 1500 naira in Ikoyi area of Lagos state.

Now, if the young man story is a fact, that means the price of pencil on the island is equal to the price of two wraps on shawarma in some spots on the mainland.

The man who was shocked by the price, noted that he had to buy the pencil due to the fact that he was in a hurry and he had to take a test.
