Man reportedly kills girlfriend after she turned down his marriage proposal

Social media has reported cases of how some men take the lives of girlfriends who turn down their wedding proposal. This is because these men feel jilted especially those ones who paid their lover's university fees. 

A man allegedly murdered his girlfriend because she refused to marry him after he took care of her and put her through university. 

On Sunday, Twitter parody account Man's Not Barry Roux shared the story of a guy who killed his bae after she refused to become his wife, despite him paying for her studies and taking care of her until she graduated. 

"A man killed his girlfriend because she refused to marry him. This is after paying her university fees & requirements plus hosting her for five years until she graduated," he captioned the post.

It was also gathered that South Africans were quick to give their opinions on the tragic turn of events. A Twitter user disclosed that, that's why men should educate their wives not their girlfriends. 

However, tweeps said it still would not guarantee that the man gets his happy ever after, even if it's his wife. 

Social media user @nenegal26 wrote: "Still not a guarantee. I know a lady who ended up cheating on the hubby with her executive colleague and she said she felt hubby was no longer in her league. She didn't even want to invite him to work functions saying he was beneath her academically. So best you educate yourself."
