Singer Terry G reveals details about his love life, says his baby mama loves Gabriel, not him

Musician Terry G is well known among many Nigerians as a singer who depicts the loud side of life. His unique sound has been embraced by a lot of people as a perfect way to unwind and let loose. In an interview detailing his personal life, the artist has revealed that although his baby mama loves him, she does not love or accept his songs. 

The singer revealed this information in an interview with Punch. According to him, the baby mama with whom he has a six-year-old son is very much in love with him as a person, but she does not embrace or like him as a musician. 

Terry G who does not seem to be bothered about this unequal love string went on to reveal that she criticizes his style and genre of music. In other words, his partner does not know or appreciate him as Terry G. 

Rather, she knows and identifies him as his real name: Gabriel Oche Amanyi. Furthermore, he went on to reveal what that her favourite song of his was titled Chimo and she liked it because it meant God. 

These details were well put into words in this manner: 

"She knows Gabriel, but does not know Terry G. She does not even like Terry G. She is not a fan of Terry G and she criticises my songs a lot. She is so classy. 

She was not the one that influenced the song, Chimo. The song is a positive vibe. It is different from the other songs that I have been doing and I decided to change my style because change is the only constant thing in life. 

You can’t keep eating rice every day, you would get tired of it. I am changing my style in order to win more fans and add more value to their lives. Chimo means God. It is a gospel song. I would release gospel songs but I do not think I would make a gospel album.” 

When asked about when he intended to marry this woman he loved and talked about so much, Terry G maintained that marriage was not his concern neither did it bother his woman. According to him, they will marry when they deem fit, but for the present moment, she loves him and he loves her just as much. 

Based on what Terry G said, their love was well depicted through the way they shared knowledge of their business enterprises and go through their various struggles together.

“My baby mama is not worried about the fact that we have not got married yet so people should not worry on our behalf. At the end of the day, what is marriage? I do not have a clue and I cannot jump into it. 

We are still both young and by God’s grace, we have been through the struggles together. Most of my business is being handled by her. When we get to a certain age, we would do it (get married). I believe in the institution of marriage. 

“She is the only child of her mother and the pressure seems to be more from her side (family) but she is in charge. She is a rich girl and in charge. She does not feel threatened by the fact that we are not yet legally married because she knows the kind of person that I am." 

This is quite a revelation from the singer whose love for his baby mama seems to be evident from the interview he granted. Only recently, comedian AY equally expressed his affection for his wife by buying her a Lexus car during the occasion of their 10th wedding anniversary.
